Financial Literacy Summit

Shelice’s Angels partnered with the Colts to host a Financial Literacy summit in which 30 kids ages 12-16 were taught the basic fundamentals on budgeting, investing, and borrowing. Through this initiative, our founder created a savings account for each student who participated and donated $250 dollars to each participant to give them a kickstart on their financial journey.

SHELICE’S ANGELS CAREER TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP WITH GOOGLE

A group of middle school girls from Connell Middle School traveled from Philadelphia to New York City to visit Google headquarters.  While at Google the girls were provided a tour of the facility and also had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session after a panel discussion that was lead by females of the Google team.  The girls had great day of learning how Google works and discovering future opportunities they can pursue at Google.

CAREER DAY AT HB SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT

A trip to Newark, New Jersey to visit HB Sports & Entertainment. While in attendance the young ladies had the opportunity to meet other positive and influential females. Brittanie Boyd (Senior Vice President, Marketing, Philadelphia 76ers) and Natasha Moody (Senior Vice President, Business Operations, Prudential Center) led a tour of the Prudential Center and provided valuable career information. The group also met and talked with Hugh Weber (President HBSE). HBSE is a leader in the sports entertainment arena major assets with the Philadelphia 76ers, the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center.

First Annual Shelice's Angels Business Academy

A group of students from Conwell Middle School were selected to participate in Shelice’s Angels first ever Business Academy, in partnership with Michigan University, where they learned the ins and out on what it is like to run a business. During this two-day academy, students first had the opportunity to learn from local business owners about their journeys and the realities of running a business. Next, the students were then allowed to participate in a simulation that taught them everything from branding, marketing to dealing with moral conflicts in the work place. 

KENDERTON LOWER & MIDDLE SCHOOL UNIFORM DRIVE

450 full school uniforms were provided to the students at Kenderton Middle School in city of Philadelphia. Each student received a shirt, pair of pants, tie, and cross tie. Helping them look their best so they can perform at their best

Boys and Girls Club Indianapolis

Zaire Franklin has partnered with OnSite Catering in an effort to provide the youth of the Boys and Girls Club with a sit-down, buffet-style, thanksgiving meal. Zaire was on hand to engage with the youth, serve, tackle food insecurity, and provide hope ahead of the holiday season

Zaire Gives Back Conwell Middle School

Zaire traveled back to his home town of Philadelphia to provide hot meals to the entire student body and staff. While there he interacted with the students, answered questions, and added smiles to their faces during this holiday season.

Sixers Trip

​

Shelice’s Angels took a group of students across the bridge to the Philadelphia Sixers practice facility. During this exciting and informative trip, the students started off with a panel of POC employees within the organization on a talk of leadership and finding your passion. After a brief Q&A the students were then allowed to tour the campus while getting a history lesson on one of the NBA’s most storied franchises.

Bowling Fundraiser

Shelice's Angels held its first fundraiser in Philadelphia. Over 150 people joined the organization at Brooklyn Bowl to and donated to a great cause.
